Head of Capital Projects

About the role

The Authority seeks a senior leader to head its Capital Projects Section, overseeing all capital and construction initiatives from planning through delivery. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while aligning with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor the annual operational plan, defining projects, performance indicators, targets, and budget estimates.
• Supervise the implementation of capital projects, ensuring compliance with approved timelines, financial limits, and technical standards.
• Develop and enforce standard project management processes, including planning, scheduling, cost analysis, and reporting.
• Track project timelines, budgets, and quality, recommending corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and consultants on site, ensuring adherence to quality and scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Strategic Project Planning, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience managing capital and construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of policy development, strategic planning, and emerging sector trends.
