Head of Compliance (High‑Risk Trading Clients)

About the role

We are looking for a senior compliance professional to own the end‑to‑end AML and financial‑crime risk management for our Forex/CFD broker and trading‑platform client portfolio. The role is segment‑specific, requiring deep knowledge of leveraged trading models, cross‑border client acquisition and multi‑entity licensing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead compliance and financial‑crime risk oversight for the high‑risk trading client book.
• Design, implement and maintain onboarding, enhanced‑due‑diligence and risk‑rating methodologies tailored to leveraged CFD business models.
• Develop and tune transaction‑monitoring scenarios specific to broker and FX‑flow patterns.
• Act as the technical liaison with regulators such as the FCA, CSSF, DFSA and others relevant to the client base.
• Collaborate with Group Compliance to align segment practices with global AML/KYC policies and board reporting.
• Provide pragmatic, risk‑based guidance to commercial and onboarding teams, balancing growth with regulatory defensibility.
• Escalate emerging licensing mismatches, sanctions exposure or structural red flags to the Group CRCO and Board.
• Serve as the escalation point for AML concerns, advising first‑line teams and MLROs on client activity.

Required profile

• Minimum five years (60 months) of experience in AML/financial‑crime compliance.
• Previous experience as an MLRO within a broker, EMI or PSP serving brokers.
• Strong understanding of leveraged/CFD business models, cross‑border client acquisition and multi‑entity licensing.
• Proven ability to interact confidently with regulators and senior stakeholders.
