Head of Compliance & MLRO (Senior)

About the role

Lorum is looking for a senior Head of Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to lead the compliance and financial‑crime framework of its Dubai‑based regulated entity. The role is based in Dubai Internet City and requires four days a week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the entity’s compliance and AML policies in line with UAE regulatory requirements.
• Oversee day‑to‑day financial‑crime monitoring, reporting and investigations.
• Coordinate with the Group Chief Legal, Risk and Compliance Officer to align local practices with group‑wide standards.
• Provide guidance to senior management and governance bodies on material compliance matters.
• Ensure effective interaction with regulators and external auditors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in compliance, AML/CTF and financial‑crime risk management, preferably within banking or fintech.
• Proven track record of leading compliance functions in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations and international standards.
• Ability to work in a group‑led governance model while maintaining a robust local compliance function.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and reporting obligations.
• Experience with compliance risk assessments and control frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulatory filing and audit processes.
