Head of Procurement (UAE National)

About the role

The Head of Procurement will lead end‑to‑end sourcing, contracting and supply‑chain strategies for a large organization in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures operational continuity, cost‑effectiveness and compliance across facilities, security and manpower services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for facilities management, security services and manpower solutions.
• Negotiate and manage long‑term contracts, collaborating with legal to minimise corporate liability.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs, monitor vendor performance and conduct risk assessments.
• Oversee a high‑volume procurement budget, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of procurement specialists, buyers and sourcing managers.
• Drive process optimisation and digitisation using ERP platforms such as SAP Ariba and Oracle.
• Monitor market trends for commodities and labour to optimise pricing.
• Ensure all activities comply with UAE regulatory requirements, including security and labour laws.

Required profile

• UAE national with a minimum of 10 years procurement and supply‑chain experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership or head‑of‑procurement role.
• Proven track record of managing large budgets and complex vendor ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of UAE facilities, security and labour regulations.
