Head Waiter / Waitress

About the role

BeatBAB is a hospitality concept combining tapas, expressive drinks and an analog listening culture, described as a cultural platform rather than just a restaurant or bar. The Head Waiter/Waitress leads the service team and ensures exceptional guest experiences through attentive, professional and personalised service. Acting as the link between management and the service staff, the role oversees daily floor operations, upholds service standards and supports the Restaurant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the service team during shifts, ensuring smooth coordination, timely order delivery and adherence to service standards.
• Monitor the dining area to ensure guest satisfaction and an efficient workflow.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials and promotions.
• Encourage upselling of food and beverages to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant, lounge or hospitality venue, including at least 1-2 years in a senior role.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service and dining etiquette.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
