Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the role

Maintain and repair earth‑moving equipment in demanding dredging and marine environments, following OEM manuals and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance according to OEM schedules and record service details.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, hydraulic, brake and steering faults on excavators, cranes, wheel loaders, dozers, dump trucks and auxiliary gear.
• Replace and overhaul components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, final drives and undercarriage parts.
• Perform breakdown repairs on‑site, including remote and marine locations, while adhering to LOTO, permit‑to‑work, lifting and hot‑work procedures.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or trade certificate in heavy equipment or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of experience maintaining heavy equipment, preferably in dredging, marine or port settings.
• Proven fault‑finding on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi or similar brands.
• Ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics and OEM manuals.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
