About the role
The Hostess acts as the ambassador of the restaurant, welcoming guests in person and by phone. You will ensure a smooth, friendly experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly, setting a welcoming tone for their entire visit.
- Maintain a tidy, fully set-up dining area, checking each table before guests are seated.
- Handle telephone reservations with professional etiquette and thorough knowledge of reservation policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth restaurant operations.
- Monitor guest feedback, address issues promptly, and communicate problems to outlet managers.
- Assist in service during busy periods and support cashiers, including covering breaks.
- Ensure the restaurant entrance remains attractive and inviting at all times.
- Adhere to hotel policies, SOPs, and personal grooming standards.
