HSE Specialist

About the role

The HSE Specialist will lead health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) initiatives for a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe delivery, compliance with legislation, and alignment with Owner expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and lead a team of HSE professionals.
• Develop, implement and monitor HSE management systems, risk assessments, audit processes and emergency response plans.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislative requirements, PTW system, gas testing, and breathing apparatus protocols.
• Coordinate HSE input during EPC phases, manage environmental impact assessments and permitting.
• Track HSSEQ performance, conduct investigations, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry, including 5 years in a similar senior HSE role.
• Experience on ADNOC, offshore, mega‑project, FEED & EPC phases and PMC environments.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
