Indirect Tax Consultant (VAT) – UAE

About the role

EY is seeking a Consultant to join its Indirect Tax team in Abu Dhabi. You will advise clients on VAT treatment of complex transactions, support dispute resolution with tax authorities, and contribute to cross‑border tax projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a global network of VAT professionals to deliver advice on customs law, free‑trade agreements, valuation, classification and origin.
• Prepare reports, schedules and client presentations, and support audit and transaction projects with indirect tax expertise.

Required profile

• A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting and at least one year of relevant indirect tax experience.
• Strong client‑facing skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and monitor budgets.

Required skills

• VAT advisory and compliance.
• Customs duty advisory, including valuation, classification and origin rules.
