Senior Officer - RCM

About the role

The Senior Officer – RCM is responsible for managing critical HIS master data that underpins revenue cycle management operations. The role ensures data accuracy, supports system and process improvements, and drives automation to enhance billing accuracy and revenue capture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain HIS master data, including pricing, package, and insurance plan masters, ensuring timely implementation of changes.
• Perform detailed validation, quality control, and audit trails for all master‑data updates.
• Identify and resolve data‑quality issues such as incorrect mappings, duplicate masters, and configuration inconsistencies.
• Proactively identify system and process gaps in the RCM billing lifecycle and assess their operational and financial impact.
• Work with IT/HIS teams to define, design, test, and implement system enhancements and workflow improvements.
• Introduce controls, validations, alerts, and automated checks to prevent errors at source.
• Maintain a structured log of improvement opportunities, prioritising by business impact and revenue implications.
• Identify manual, repetitive RCM activities suitable for automation or digital tools and oversee their implementation.
• Establish maker‑checker and QC controls for critical master‑data updates and conduct periodic audits.
• Analyse billing issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend preventive controls.
• Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards to monitor RCM performance and detect revenue leakage.
• Provide data‑driven insights to support prioritisation of system enhancements and process improvements.
