Insurance Executive - Property Underwriting

About the role

Orient Insurance, part of the Al-Futtaim Group, is looking for an Insurance Executive for Property Underwriting to join its Property & Energy Underwriting Division in Dubai. The position reports to the VP of Property Underwriting and suits an insurance professional wanting a long-term career with a leading regional insurer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting property risks in line with company guidelines.
• Review and analyse risk submissions, underwriting information, surveys and claims experience.
• Prepare quotations, endorsements and renewal terms.
• Coordinate with brokers, clients, reinsurers and internal departments to service accounts smoothly.
• Support facultative reinsurance placements and underwriting referrals.
• Maintain underwriting records and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Assist in portfolio monitoring and renewal management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management or a similar discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in general insurance, preferably in property underwriting; UAE or regional experience is an advantage.
• Sound understanding of commercial and industrial property risks.
• Professional qualifications such as ACII, Cert CII or progress toward insurance certifications are an added advantage.
