Insurance Underwriting Officer – Fresh Graduate (UAE)

About the role

The role involves reviewing and conducting thorough risk assessments for new and renewal property insurance business. The officer will follow underwriting guidelines and authority limits to ensure profitability and sustainability of the company's property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotes and renewal notices in line with corporate guidelines and underwriting authority limits.
• Draft property quotations, summarize benefits and premium rates, and issue policies.
• Maintain proper filing and send cover confirmations to Operations for system booking.
• Provide regular reports on claims, production, and renewals as required.
• Liaise with Claims and Operations departments to obtain loss ratios and ensure accurate system bookings.
• Review questionnaires and proposal forms received from points of sale.
• Prepare quotations/tenders, risk assessment forms, and related communications for clients and brokers.
• Cooperate with internal departments and branches to ensure timely information transfer.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• 0‑1 years of relevant experience (fresh graduate).
• Full professional proficiency in English.
