Internal Audit Manager – Risk‑Based Assurance

About the role

Abu Dhabi Aviation is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to lead risk‑based assurance and advisory engagements across the ADA Group, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Internal Audit Strategy, annual plan and multi‑year audit universe.
• Lead financial, operational and compliance audit engagements, from planning through fieldwork to reporting.
• Prepare concise audit reports with observations, root causes, impacts, recommendations and agreed action plans.
• Monitor implementation of management action plans and validate closure of findings.
• Support the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) and drive continuous improvement of audit methodologies.
• Manage and develop internal audit staff through coaching, training and performance feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is essential; CISA and CFE are desirable.
• 8–10 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management or assurance, preferably in aviation or other regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS), corporate governance and ICOFR frameworks.
