Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Junior Legal Counsel will provide legal advice to all CPX business units on technology transactions, corporate governance, regulatory, compliance and intellectual property matters. The role involves responding promptly to legal queries and negotiating a variety of agreements with clients and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent legal advice on technology transactions, labour and employment, regulatory compliance and IP rights.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs and terms & conditions.
• Support business units in developing and revising client and vendor contracts.
• Assist the General Counsel in rolling out CPX’s compliance program and drafting related policies (labour law, supplier code of conduct, trade compliance, data privacy and security).
• Monitor regulatory compliance, deliver training, and help cross‑functional teams manage risk.
• Participate in internal and external investigations, resolve pre‑litigation disputes, and maintain a compliance tracking system and risk register.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in sharing legal expertise with both legal and non‑legal colleagues.
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast‑paced in‑house environment focused on technology and cyber‑security.
• Preferably bilingual in Arabic and English (not mandatory).
• Excellent analytical, judgment and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong client‑service orientation, proactive teamwork, and ability to manage multiple files under pressure.
• Exceptional time‑management, independent work capability, and occasional flexibility in schedule.
