About the role
We are seeking a Lead HSE to join KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions team in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee health, safety and environment (HSE) performance on a large‑scale onshore EPC project, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Verify readiness of systems and subsystems for Mechanical Completion (MC) and Ready for Start‑Up (RFSU) certificate issuance.
- Monitor and approve the close‑out of punch lists within the assigned area.
- Ensure that completion and hand‑over methodologies comply with all relevant contractual documents.
- Provide HSE leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the construction phase.
- Coordinate with client and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 20 years of relevant construction experience, preferably on mega EPC projects in the GCC region.
- Proven on‑site HSE leadership experience in large‑scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and certification processes.
Required skills
- Engineering principles applied to construction.
- HSE compliance and audit procedures.
- Mechanical Completion (MC) and Ready for Start‑Up (RFSU) certification processes.
