Lead Telecommunication Engineer Offshore

About the role

Lead the telecommunication engineering effort for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects, overseeing the full project lifecycle from concept studies through FEED and detailed design. The role involves travelling to ADNOC offshore sites on a rotational basis to conduct surveys, assess existing infrastructure and gather data for engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for telecom engineering during FEED and detailed engineering phases.
• Develop system architectures, design philosophies, specifications and deliverables that meet ADNOC standards and international codes.
• Perform site surveys, brownfield assessments and adequacy studies to define upgrade and integration requirements.
• Design and integrate telecommunications systems including fiber‑optic, SDH, OTN, DWDM, Ethernet, LAN/WAN and HF/VHF/UHF networks.
• Act as the discipline authority and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with at least six months remaining.
• Proven experience leading telecommunication engineering for oil & gas facilities, both onshore and offshore.
• Willingness to travel offshore on a rotational schedule.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and international telecom codes.
