Lecturer in Finance

About the role

The Finance Lecturer will join Curtin University Dubai’s School of Business, reporting to the Head of School. The role involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate finance education, fostering analytical thinking and practical problem‑solving among students.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions covering core finance topics.
• Develop, administer and grade assessments, providing timely constructive feedback.
• Mentor students through academic advising and support career readiness.
• Continuously improve teaching quality and student experience through innovative, industry‑linked initiatives.
• Contribute to research activities, industry collaborations and curriculum development.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of successful teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated ability to engage diverse student cohorts and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and academic scholarship.
