Legal Associate – Litigation & Advisory

About the role

The Associate will join Fatima Hussein Law Firm in Dubai, supporting a broad range of litigation and advisory matters across criminal, civil, corporate, personal status and commercial practice areas. This full‑time, on‑site position offers exposure to high‑stakes, cross‑border cases.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal pleadings, memoranda, contracts and opinions.
• Conduct legal research on UAE laws, regulations and regulatory developments.
• Prepare case files, evidence bundles and hearing notes for court and arbitral proceedings.
• Attend client meetings and assist in strategy development.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as experts, counterparties and authorities.
• Contribute to detailed case analysis for complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Assist in negotiations, settlement discussions and review regulatory updates.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong legal research, analytical and drafting abilities.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in criminal law, white‑collar crime, civil litigation, personal affairs and commercial disputes, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
• Familiarity with UAE laws, court procedures and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• High level of discretion, integrity and client‑service orientation.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, able to handle multiple cases and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small, high‑performing team.
