Legal & Compliance Analyst

About the role

A financial institution based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is looking for a Legal & Compliance Analyst. Reporting to the Compliance Officer and MLRO, the role ensures the company operates within the legal and regulatory framework while providing strategic legal support to the business. It combines legal advisory and compliance oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Compliance: develop, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and frameworks
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits
• Train and educate employees on compliance requirements and ethical standards
• Act as the point of contact for regulatory authorities and manage inspections or audits
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required
• Legal: provide legal advice on contracts, agreements and business transactions
• Draft, review and negotiate legal documents
• Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business
• Support dispute resolution, litigation or arbitration when required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent
• Master's degree or additional compliance certification (e.g. ICA, ACAMS) is an advantage
• Proven experience in compliance and legal advisory roles, ideally 5+ years
• Strong knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements
