Senior Engineer Contracts

About the role

ADNOC Onshore is looking for a Senior Engineer Contracts in Abu Dhabi. The role centralises contract development so that the Company's contracting needs are met in a cost-effective, timely and efficient way, handling complex, high-value contracts and advising users on contractual and commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the contracting plan for each tender, review contracting strategies and tendering procedures, and compile accurate tender documents covering technical, contractual, commercial, financial and legal aspects.
• Prepare bid paperwork, take part in negotiations, and conduct techno-commercial evaluations of bids to recommend the shortlisted contractor.
• Prepare Letters of Award, coordinate their execution and distribution, and prepare the final contract documents for review and signing.
• Manage variation orders and claims, evaluating them against contractual obligations and preparing settlement recommendations.
• Track contract duration, remind users about optional years and extensions, and ensure completion certificates are issued on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline.
• 8 or more years of experience in contracts development and administration in the oil and gas sector.
• FRICS certification (Full Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) is preferable.

Required skills

• Technical understanding of building, reviewing and finalising contracts and the tendering process.
• Good understanding of regulations, controls and relevant legal guidelines.
• Experience in conflict avoidance and contract dispute resolution.
