Litigation Lawyer

About the role

Altara Law is looking for a capable, commercially minded lawyer to join its growing team in the UAE. The lawyer will independently manage matters, take ownership of client work and give practical, commercially focused advice across litigation and corporate/commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage and handle legal matters from inception through to resolution
• Advise clients on litigation, dispute resolution and contentious matters
• Draft, review and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements
• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate and commercial matters
• Manage client relationships and communicate with clients and stakeholders
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, legal opinions, submissions and other documentation
• Work autonomously while contributing to the wider team's objectives

Required profile

• Based in the UAE with a strong understanding of the UAE legal landscape
• Qualified lawyer with a UK SQE qualification (or a UK-qualified solicitor)
• Recent law firm experience
• Demonstrable experience in both litigation and corporate/commercial law
• Ability to run legal matters independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
