Legal Counsel

About the role

As a Legal Counsel within the dubizzle Group, you will manage complex commercial and legal matters, ensuring the legality of transactions and providing advice across the UAE businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee commercial legal matters, including IP, M&A, compliance, and TMT issues.
• Draft, amend, negotiate and administer commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal advice on existing and new agreements, evaluate compliance and contractual rights.
• Prepare research notes, reports and legal documents, and develop company policy on legal issues.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and support internal departments on contract requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent qualification from England & Wales, Australia, South Africa or another Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• 5 to 8 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an international law firm or multinational organization.
• Experience as a commercial lawyer with exposure to technology, media and telecommunications matters.
• Strong oral and written communication, excellent drafting skills and ability to handle complex legal issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Negotiation and contract drafting expertise.
