Logistics Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the role

As a Logistics Supervisor at ALEC Building, you will drive the safe and efficient movement of materials, plant and personnel across high‑profile construction sites in the UAE. You will translate logistics plans into on‑site actions, coordinate deliveries, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement site logistics plans from drawings and specifications, maintain lay‑down areas and allocate space to contractors.
• Plan and allocate labour and plant, optimise utilisation and support the construction programme.
• Coordinate Just‑in‑Time deliveries, control site access, supervise off‑loading, storage and handling of oversized items.
• Manage lifting operations, ensure lift plans, certificates and equipment inspections are current, and oversee crane, forklift and telehandler allocation.
• Monitor waste management, enforce traffic plans, conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Track plant utilisation, fuel consumption and equipment status using the Load Gate mobile application and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in construction logistics, material movement or site operations.
• Degree/Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of site logistics, waste management and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with experience supervising foremen and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting tools.
• Experience with digital logistics tracking platforms, specifically the Load Gate mobile application.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications for logistics layout planning.
• Understanding of lift planning, crane operations and traffic management principles.
