Loss Prevention Manager

About the role

The Loss Prevention Manager assists the Director of Security in managing security operations on a daily basis, protecting property assets, employees and guests, and handling accidents and fires. The role also covers security team leadership, customer service and human resources activities.

Key responsibilities

• Protect guests, employees and hotel assets, and prevent and respond to accidents and fires
• Maintain logs, certifications and documents required by law and standard operating procedures
• Help develop emergency procedures, investigate property losses and deploy security staff
• Conduct patrols of the property and parking areas, inspect security equipment and keep records
• Handle guest complaints and disputes, and recommend ways to reduce physical hazards and risks
• Lead security teams: brief them on safety procedures, give performance feedback, mentor staff and build trust
• Provide exceptional customer service and empower employees to deliver it
• Manage accident claims, administer property policies fairly and advise Human Resources
• Work with local law enforcement and coordinate with Event Sales on VIP escort and media control for large events

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention or a related field
• Or a 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or a related major with 1 year of experience
