Maintenance Technician I

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician I to join our facilities team in Dubai. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, HVAC and mechanical room assets.
• Inspect, lubricate, and test equipment; identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and record daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform minor repairs: painting, drywall, carpentry, light‑bulb and filter replacement, plumbing unclogging, electrical component swaps, TV programming and landscaping upkeep.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work and follow all safety policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided.
• Professional appearance, good communication skills and respect for confidentiality.
