Market Surveillance Analyst – Compliance

About the role

Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA) is seeking a Market Surveillance Analyst to join its Market Regulation team. The analyst will monitor and investigate trading activity across multiple asset classes on CDNA’s U.S. derivatives exchange, ensuring compliance with Exchange rules and CFTC regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform real‑time monitoring of exchange activity, security feeds, and product safety data to detect market abuse such as wash trading or spoofing.
• Monitor margin requirements and position limits, using surveillance tools and dashboards to flag anomalies.
• Conduct post‑trade reviews, forensic analysis, and investigations of potential rule violations, preparing detailed reports for senior management.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations (SEC, CFTC, FINRA) and internal policies, assisting with regulatory inquiries and audits.
• Contribute to the development of surveillance protocols, support KYC/AML enforcement, and collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Technology teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a Juris Doctorate.
• 4+ years of compliance experience in financial services, preferably in derivatives or prediction markets.
• Experience in traditional finance (TradFi) or crypto environments.
• Familiarity with futures, commodities and trading markets.

Required skills

• Use of surveillance tools and dashboards for real‑time market monitoring.
• Forensic analysis of trade data.
• Preparation of investigative reports and regulatory documentation.
• Knowledge of SEC, CFTC and FINRA regulations.
• Understanding of KYC/AML procedures.
