Material Planning Specialist

About the role

The Material Planning Specialist will execute material planning activities by reviewing demand, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Key responsibilities

• Apply established material planning procedures, review forecasts and production schedules, and issue material requisitions to procurement.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials, components and consumables, coordinate with warehouse teams, and suggest adjustments to stock policies.
• Liaise with procurement, production planning, sales, logistics and quality teams to match material availability with manufacturing schedules.
• Track KPIs such as material availability, stock accuracy and fulfillment rates, and prepare routine status reports for the Section Manager.
• Identify risks like delays or shortages, recommend mitigation actions including safety‑stock adjustments or alternative sourcing, and highlight issues affecting planning accuracy.
• Support business process improvements, seek automation opportunities and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in material planning, inventory management or related functions.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities in material supply issues.
