MEP Inspector - Construction Site Inspection

About the role

The MEP Inspector works under the direct supervision of the Resident Engineer at a designated site and supervises the Contractor's work. The position provides on-site construction inspection and the related documentation for construction projects, including observing construction and maintenance activities for compliance with plans and specifications, preparing contract documentation and following QA/QC procedures in line with Local Agency Guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect contractors' on-site installation works and follow up their implementation against specifications and drawings
• Review contractor submittals such as method statements, material and technical submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
• Review essential contract documents and project plans, and monitor contractor compliance
• Perform field inspections, maintain inspection records and submit daily site logs
• Monitor and record site progress and day works
• Ensure project HSE and QA/QC requirements are followed
• Carry out a final site walk-down to identify major and minor deficiencies
• Review project closeout documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 5 years of post-graduate experience in a similar position
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage

• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD
