Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics

About the role

Amana Healthcare, a long-term care and rehabilitation provider in the Middle East and GCC and part of the M42 network, is hiring an Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics. Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation, the therapist provides specialised, evidence-based therapy for infants, children and adolescents, supporting their developmental, sensory, cognitive and functional growth within family-centred care and in line with M42 and DOH/DHA policies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and carry out comprehensive developmental assessments.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on standardised and dynamic assessments.
• Treat challenges in fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing and integration, visual-motor integration and DIR/Floortime.
• Create customised home programmes and work closely with parents and caregivers.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology when needed.
• Monitor progress and adjust intervention plans, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Take part in interdisciplinary case discussions and goal setting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• At least 6 years of paediatric OT experience in a large hospital setting.
• DOH/DHA license or eligibility.
• Preferred: certification in Sensory Integration, experience in cognitive rehabilitation for children, experience in school-based therapy programs, and training in alternate access or assistive communication devices.
