Oil & Gas Cost Control Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Manager to lead project cost management for EPC oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures projects stay within approved budgets and meet financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cost control procedures, systems, reporting standards and governance frameworks.
• Lead the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments and forecast expenditure against approved budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare and review periodic cost reports, management reports, variance analyses and executive dashboards.
• Review purchase orders, contractual commitments, subcontractor costs, change orders and potential claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in project controls, cost control, commercial management or project management, with at least five years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrable experience in EPC, oil & gas, energy, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proven experience in project budgeting, cost forecasting, variance analysis and financial performance monitoring.
