Operator - Secondary Packing

About the role

The Operator – Secondary Packing is responsible for running the secondary packaging line for oral solid dosage (OSD) and liquid formulations in a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with GMP, safety standards, and product quality while supporting efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the secondary packing line according to SOPs and batch manufacturing records.
• Perform batch packing, labeling, and control of temperature and pressure parameters.
• Maintain accurate batch records, logbooks, and process documentation.
• Conduct in‑process quality checks to verify product consistency.
• Collaborate with QA, QC, and engineering to resolve production issues.
• Clean and sanitize packing machines and equipment.
• Report deviations, defects, or equipment malfunctions to maintenance.
• Participate in regulatory audits and inspections.
• Identify opportunities to optimise the packing process and reduce waste.

Required profile

• High school diploma, ITI or diploma in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in packing operations within the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with secondary packing equipment (Track n Trace, Cartonator, Checkweigher).
• Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs and regulatory compliance for liquid formulations.
• Basic troubleshooting of packing machinery.
