Painter Technician – Residential & Commercial Buildings

About the role

The Painter Technician will carry out new and maintenance painting work in residential and commercial buildings across Sharjah. The role requires strict adherence to building codes, safety standards, and aesthetic quality while collaborating with engineers and co‑workers.

Key responsibilities

• Review work orders and blueprints with the Engineer‑in‑Charge to understand priorities and safety requirements.
• Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, and filling cracks or holes.
• Mix paints and finishes to achieve the required colour and texture.
• Apply interior and exterior paint, varnish, and other finishes.
• Erect scaffolding, protect fixtures, and ensure all tools are used and returned correctly.
• Inspect completed work for defects, safety compliance, and code adherence.
• Report progress and any issues to the Engineer‑in‑Charge promptly.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification for painting/maintenance work (as indicated in the original posting).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and use of protective equipment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills with internal customers.
