Patient Administration Executive

About the role

The Patient Administration Executive is responsible for welcoming patients, managing registrations, handling billing and insurance queries, and ensuring smooth front‑desk operations within the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to appropriate departments and provide routine information.
• Manage appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and handling no‑shows.
• Register new patients and keep existing records up to date.
• Provide information on medical insurance coverage, collect co‑payments and process claims.
• Handle cash, credit‑card and cheque collections and ensure accurate end‑of‑shift processing.
• Maintain knowledge of the Hospital Information System, clinic times, doctor rosters and booking procedures.
• Answer telephone inquiries, respond to emails promptly and manage patient complaints professionally.
• Generate and process patient invoices, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with legal and insurance requirements.

Required profile

• College degree or diploma in any discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with patients, staff and management.
• Commitment to follow hospital policies, infection control and quality improvement standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Hospital Information System and basic billing software.
• Ability to handle cash, credit‑card transactions and cheque deposits accurately.
• Knowledge of medical insurance processes and claim documentation.
