PMC Lead Civil/Structural Engineer

About the role

Wood Group is seeking a seasoned PMC Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join its Dubai office. The role involves leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring project delivery aligns with budget, schedule, and quality standards, and supporting occasional site visits in Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, coach and manage a team of senior engineers, designers and draftsmen.
• Ensure projects meet budget, timing and quality requirements.
• Apply Wood’s quality system and company procedures to all assigned projects.
• Coordinate communication between supervised staff, other lead engineers and project managers.
• Monitor productivity, forecast trends and resolve potential issues.
• Act as principal engineer, guiding less‑experienced colleagues.
• Develop staffing plans and assign personnel to projects.
• Conduct study work individually or with the team.
• Review tender documents, prepare man‑hour estimates and submit offers.
• Promote sustainable and efficient engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum).
• 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
• At least 6 years in a similar role within an operating company.
• Proven PMC experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
