Pre-Sales Consultant – Data Protection, Backup & DR

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Pre‑Sales Consultant to own the technical side of data protection and disaster recovery deals. You will work closely with Account Managers to discover customer pain points, design Backup/DR solutions, run Proof‑of‑Concepts and present designs to IT teams and management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls, assess backup, storage and recovery requirements and design end‑to‑end data protection solutions aligned with RTO/RPO, retention and compliance.
• Architect Veeam solutions (Backup & Replication, Data Platform, VBO365), size proxy/repository architectures, configure live demos and lead POC engagements.
• Design immutable storage, hardened repositories and air‑gapped recovery environments to protect against ransomware.
• Integrate Veeam with SAN, NAS, Object Storage (S3, Azure Blob, MinIO) and validate performance, capacity planning and appliance recommendations.
• Develop backup and DR strategies for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud workloads and Microsoft 365, and produce technical presentations, RFP responses and handoff documentation.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in backup, disaster recovery, storage or infrastructure engineering.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience designing or deploying Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Proven ability to run technical discovery workshops, deliver demos and handle objections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, comfortable presenting to senior IT audiences.
