Pre‑Sales Consultant – Open Source & Virtualization

About the role

Ingram Micro is seeking a Pre‑Sales Consultant focused on Open Source and Virtualization to help customers and partners across the UAE design, position, and adopt modern infrastructure solutions. You will act as a technical advisor, guiding solution design from discovery through proposal.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on virtualization, cloud, and open‑source technologies during customer engagements.
• Collaborate with sales teams, vendors, and partners to develop scalable infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, and automation architectures.
• Deliver presentations, workshops, demos, proof‑of‑concepts, and solution assessments that address business challenges.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and help shape go‑to‑market strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in presales, solutions architecture, systems engineering, or consulting with a focus on virtualization, Linux, cloud, or open‑source technologies.
• Ability to manage technical projects independently and influence stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to work across sales, engineering, and partner teams.

Required skills

• Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE Linux platforms.
• OpenShift, Kubernetes container orchestration.
• VMware, KVM virtualization technologies.
• Cloud infrastructure solutions and automation tools.
