Principal Project Control Specialist

About the role

The Principal Project Control Specialist will lead project planning, cost control and schedule management for large‑scale oil & gas or petrochemical projects, ensuring delivery to safety, quality, schedule and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain baseline schedules, monitor performance, and manage earned value, cost and schedule variance.
• Provide risk management, change control assessment and reporting against the Project Execution Plan.
• Coordinate integrated project schedules across multiple contractors, assess impacts and drive schedule optimisation.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress, cost and forecast reports, highlighting variances and corrective actions.
• Support contract, procurement and commercial issues, and manage progress certification and invoice payment processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry, with at least 5 years in a similar senior project control role on mega projects.
• Experience on ADNOC offshore projects, FEED and EPC phases, and familiarity with PMC environments.
