Procurement Coordinator

About the role

Bilfinger, an international industrial services provider, is looking for a proactive, commercially focused Procurement Coordinator in the UAE to support procurement of services and materials for the Oil & Gas, Construction, EPC and Industrial Services sectors. The role reports to the Procurement Manager or Category Manager and covers sourcing, supplier and contract management, and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement in line with company purchasing policies, issue RFQs, evaluate quotations and prepare commercial bid evaluations.
• Sourcing and procurement of pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, structural steel, instrumentation, electrical equipment and construction materials, and creation and management of purchase orders and service orders.
• Negotiate prices, commercial terms, payment conditions, lead times and contractual requirements with suppliers.
• Source and manage suppliers for accommodation, transportation, logistics, equipment rentals, manpower supply, subcontracting and other support services, including hotel, labour camp and apartment selection and booking coordination.
• Develop a network of transportation and logistics providers and ensure their availability for project mobilisation.
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, maintain approved vendor databases, support framework agreements and resolve supplier issues on quality, delivery and commercial matters.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, conduct market research and price benchmarking, and monitor market trends.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Projects, HR, Finance, Logistics and Warehouse teams, provide procurement reports and keep records audit-ready.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of procurement experience in the UAE, with proven experience in both services and technical materials.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Construction, Industrial Services or Facilities Management sectors.
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory) and willingness to travel across the UAE for supplier visits, accommodation inspections, vendor audits and site coordination.
• A strong network of suppliers and service providers in the UAE is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Procurement and purchasing procedures, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Instrumentation and electrical equipment procurement, accommodation and facilities sourcing, transportation and logistics procurement, rental and leasing services, manpower services and subcontracting.
• Vendor evaluation and performance management; ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
