Procurement Engineer – EPC Construction (Waste-to-Energy)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Procurement Engineer to lead procurement activities for a major waste-to-energy facility in Sharjah. The role covers the full project lifecycle from EPC and construction through commissioning and operation, ensuring timely delivery of goods, services and contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of materials, equipment, consumables and services for construction, installation and operational phases.
• Source and pre-qualify suppliers and subcontractors, issue RFIs, RFQs and tender documents, and evaluate commercial and technical proposals.
• Oversee procurement related to EPC contracts, construction packages and commissioning requirements.
• Supervise Procurement Officers and monitor performance against KPIs, preparing regular reports.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, delivery schedules, warranties and payment conditions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement for EPC and large-scale construction projects, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of subcontracting, contracts, technical purchasing and commissioning requirements.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, operations, logistics and project stakeholders.
