Production Engineer

About the role

The Production Engineer supports the delivery of oil and gas projects by applying engineering knowledge to solve straightforward production challenges. Working under moderate guidance, the role focuses on reviewing project scopes, ensuring material availability, and coordinating fabrication activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review project scope, schedules, and specifications to understand deliverables.
• Prepare scope of work documents and task listings.
• Analyze fabrication schedules, drawings, and material reports, raising issues as needed.
• Provide field guidance, ensure compliance with company specifications, and attend production meetings.
• Monitor scope changes, production revisions, and weekly fabrication progress.
• Coordinate material movements, subcontract scope, and as‑built drawings.
• Approve fabrication drawings and review work pack deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
• Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC, and AWS standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of API RP2A.
• Knowledge of AISC standards.
• Knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
