Project Manager – High Speed Rail Infrastructure

About the role

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of a major High Speed Railway (HSR) project, covering bridge and underground station construction. The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of HSR bridge, viaduct and underground station works, including cut‑and‑cover structures.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources and risk throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate civil, structural, geotechnical, MEP, rail systems and subcontractor teams.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, shop drawings, technical submittals and work plans.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions and report on cost, risk and performance.
• Ensure compliance with design requirements, safety standards, local regulations, QA/QC and HSE policies.
• Handle claims, variations, contractual correspondence and change management.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 20 + years of experience in large infrastructure projects.
• At least 15 + years in High‑Speed Rail, Metro, Railway or underground infrastructure.
• Proven track record managing bridge, viaduct, tunnel and underground station construction.
• Experience with Design & Build and FIDIC contracts.
