Proposal Engineer

About the role

The Proposal Engineer will support sales and business development by preparing comprehensive, competitive proposals for service‑related energy projects. This role works closely with internal teams and external customers to ensure proposals meet technical and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Update sales & BD databases, proposal trackers and generate reporting statistics for the Sales/BD team.
• Develop and maintain proposal templates for internal and external customers, ensuring they reflect the range of services offered.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, logistics and project management to gather cost data and produce accurate estimates.
• Analyze RFQs, technical drawings and specifications to prepare detailed technical proposals, including scope, pricing and commercial terms.
• Support negotiations by providing technical expertise and addressing customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in proposal engineering within the energy industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts.
