Quotation Specialist – Mechanical Industrial Engineering

About the role

The Quotation Specialist supports the sales team by preparing accurate and timely proposals for mechanical and industrial engineering projects. The role requires close collaboration with multiple internal departments to ensure all technical and commercial aspects are covered.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs/ITBs with sales leadership, interpret requirements and organize deliverables.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, manufacturing, finance, legal, logistics and quality to compile complete proposals.
• Schedule and lead kickoff and weekly follow‑up meetings with sales and other stakeholders.
• Prepare quotations from start to finish using D365, Omega, CPQ and related ERP tools.
• Manage post‑bid technical and commercial clarifications and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain a log of proposal status and coordinate handover to order management and project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3‑5 years of estimating or quotation experience.
• Background in composites, fiberglass products, piping/EPC projects and familiarity with industry standards.
• Strong mathematical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using D365 and other ERP/CPQ systems.
• Ability to perform material take‑offs from third‑party data and read technical drawings.
• Knowledge of bid processes, negotiation and composite product specifications.
