Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department at Speciality Hospital Al Ain is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate care to patients in a fast‑paced environment. The role requires vigilance, teamwork and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Speak up about safety concerns and treat all patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
• Deliver safe, effective care in the Emergency Department, including using the Early Warning System and American Heart Association emergency algorithms.
• Maintain up‑to‑date mandatory training, comply with the NMC competency framework and ensure competence before using any medical device.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, incident reporting and audits to enhance patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed by the UAE regulator and registered with the NMC.
• Demonstrates professional behaviour, accountability and commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to mentor and supervise pre‑registration nurses, students and new staff.
• Adheres to infection prevention, occupational safety and fire safety procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of medical devices and equipment safely.
• Use of Early Warning System escalation and AHA emergency algorithms.
• Clinical documentation and data integrity in electronic health records.
• Basic computer skills: Windows OS, word processing, spreadsheets and email.
