Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Reliability Engineer will provide technical expertise to support operational divisions in improving equipment reliability and reducing unplanned downtime. The role focuses on proactive maintenance strategies and condition monitoring across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Asset Performance Management (APM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies to shift maintenance from reactive to proactive.
• Lead brown‑field and green‑field engineering activities to optimise reliability and maintenance costs.
• Identify equipment issues early using predictive tools and reliability methods, maintaining failure factor listings and reports.
• Provide technical advice for equipment upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations, including equipment selection and redundancy assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a reliability engineering role within the oil and gas industry.
