Research and Development Officer

About the role

The Research and Development Officer will support the development, testing and improvement of products, processes and technical documentation. The role involves designing experiments, analysing results and turning insights into practical, compliant product improvements through cross‑functional teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Design and plan experiments, prototypes and trials in line with project objectives and resource constraints.
• Prepare materials, equipment and protocols; ensure experiments are conducted safely and reproducibly.
• Collect, record and analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical and analytical methods.
• Interpret results to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare clear summaries, charts and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support the development of new products or enhancements, including feasibility studies and cost assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of research activities and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate research findings into practical solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, science or a related discipline.
• Experience in research and development, product testing or a similar technical role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interaction.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
