Research Faculty Position in AI at Ajman University

About the role

The Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies at Ajman University invites applications for a full‑time research faculty position within the Artificial Intelligence Research Center. The role involves conducting cutting‑edge AI research, teaching, and securing external funding to support the university’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct innovative AI research in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, robotics, AI ethics, and explainable AI; publish in high‑impact journals and top conferences.
• Deliver AI‑related courses and workshops, and supervise graduate and undergraduate research projects.
• Develop and submit competitive grant proposals to governmental, industrial, and international funding bodies; manage awarded projects.
• Organise workshops, seminars and conferences, foster collaborations with industry, government and global academic partners, and promote the centre’s visibility.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a closely related field from a recognised institution.
• Strong publication record in high‑impact AI journals or conferences, with demonstrable citation impact.
• Proven experience teaching AI‑related subjects and supervising student research at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Prior success in obtaining and managing external research grants is highly desirable.
