Resident Engineer - Infrastructure Stormwater

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Resident Engineer (Infrastructure/Stormwater) to lead day-to-day construction supervision for major infrastructure works in a stormwater mitigation programme in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings and specifications, and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site supervision for infrastructure works including storm drainage, sewage and associated wet and dry utilities, and direct supervision of pipes, manholes, chambers, gullies and associated structures.
• Supervise and coordinate the site supervision team (site engineers, inspectors, surveyors) for consistent quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with other discipline Resident Engineers to keep the project aligned.
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, RFIs and technical proposals.
• Work with design engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure correct on-site implementation.
• Maintain daily diary records, review daily reports, monitor progress and productivity, and coordinate contractors on scheduling and resources while identifying risks.
• Advise on contractual and construction matters, including utility diversions, traffic diversions and interface management.
• Ensure safety goals are met and safe work procedures are followed, give on-site directions, and prepare regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in construction supervision of large infrastructure and stormwater projects.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with strong technical writing skills.
• Strong computer literacy for reporting, record keeping and project systems.

Desired skills

• Experience on marine-related works such as dredging, reclamation, earthworks and large-scale infrastructure supervision.
• Strong stakeholder coordination across multi-discipline and multi-contractor environments.
