Safety Officer – Occupational Health & Safety

About the role

We are seeking a responsible Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations across our operations in Dubai. The role focuses on preventing hazards, monitoring workplace practices, and fostering a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and continuous improvement of OHS policies and programs.
• Advise staff on safety topics such as noise control, machinery use, and protective equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Review and update existing policies to align with current legislation.
• Organise and deliver OHS training for employees and management.
• Inspect premises and work activities to identify non‑conformities.
• Oversee safe installation, maintenance, and disposal of substances.
• Stop unsafe acts or processes immediately.
• Record and investigate incidents, manage compensation claims, and prepare statistical reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a safety officer.
• BSc/BA in safety management, engineering or related field (preferred).
• Certificate in occupational health and safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA legislation and hazardous material handling.
