Sales Assistant – Retail (Toys & Games)

About the role

The Sales Assistant will drive sales and ensure every customer enjoys a positive shopping experience in our Toys "R" Us store. You will represent the brand with energy and friendliness, helping to maintain a clean, organized environment that showcases our product range.

Key responsibilities

• Generate sales while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and visual merchandising.
• Greet customers promptly with a warm, non‑businesslike welcome.
• Provide up‑to‑date product information and suggest complementary items.
• Assist customers in fitting rooms and aim to increase add‑on sales.
• Handle cash‑wrap transactions efficiently, promote gift cards, and keep the checkout area tidy.
• Capture customer details in the database for future engagement.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of experience in a retail sales environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing and activity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) packages.
• Ability to use AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator or Photoshop to create visual plans.
